The Full Story
About
I started The Address Outpost with a simple goal: to ensure that every property in rural Montana can be found quickly, clearly, and accurately. Too often, new landowners don’t realize that their mailing address isn’t the same as a 911 address — or that a house number on the porch isn’t enough for emergency responders. That gap can create dangerous delays.

I bring a unique perspective as both a Flathead County E911 dispatcher and a GIS professional with 8 years of experience. Before moving home to Montana, I spent 6 years at the Vermont Agency of Transportation, where I managed MUTCD regulatory signs and the statewide highway asset inventory. I also hold a degree in Geography with a specialization in GIS from Montana State University. This blend of fieldwork, mapping, and emergency services gives me a deep understanding of what it takes to get rural addressing right.

At The Address Outpost, we handle the entire process:
-
Verifying your E911 address with the county.
-
Marking the correct location for your driveway and right-of-way.
-
Installing the correct sign — perpendicular to the road, retroreflective, and mounted at the proper height.

Working out of a classic Airstream trailer, I bring a mobile, local, and personal service to landowners across Montana. Whether you’ve just bought your dream property, are building a new home, or simply want peace of mind, The Address Outpost ensures your property is on the map, compliant, and ready to be found when it matters most.

Mission
The Address Outpost ensures every rural property in Montana is properly identified for safety and access. We deliver correct information by verifying E911 addresses, confirming the correct location by marking driveways and rights-of-way, and guaranteeing the correct sign is installed perpendicular to the road, retroreflective, and mounted at the proper height and position.
Vision
Our vision is a Montana where no property is hidden or hard to reach — where every home, cabin, and parcel is mapped, signed, and visible. By focusing on correct information, correct location, and correct signage, we make rural living safer, simpler, and more connected.
